The UvA has various apps, software and other facilities to support your studies online. You can follow lectures digitally, hold online meetings and study together online with fellow students. There are also opportunities to share files and store them online, and to conduct surveys and involve your audience in your presentation.

What is your study programme?
  • Microsoft 365As a UvA-student your UvAnetID grants you access to Microsoft 365. Microsoft 365 is a collection of services that includes OneDrive, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and more.
  • Office 365Your UvA account grants you access to Office. This includes for instance Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Microsoft TeamsMicrosoft Teams allows you to work together with fellow students. You can work together on documents, share your screen and make video calls.
  • Online Study Space: guided study sessions online and in the LibraryIn the Online Study Space you can experience the benefits of studying in physical study spaces from wherever you are. You can study online with others and benefit from professional guidance.
  • OneDriveOneDrive offers a safe, personal file hosting service within the Microsoft 365 cloud. Your UvA account grants you access to your personal files anytime, anyplace as data is stored online.
  • Free downloadable software for UvA studentsThe UvA offers her students software and apps that you can download and use these for free during your studies.
  • Web lecturesWeb lectures are digital recordings of lecture that can be watched online, via a link in Canvas or another digital environment.
  • ZoomZoom is a videoconferencing service that allows you to attend courses online as well as meet or cooperate on group assignments with fellow students and members of staff at the UvA.
  • Wooclap: to interact with your audience during your presentationWooclap is an audience response tool. You can use Wooclap to put forward questions or statements to the audience during presentations.
  • Using Qualtrics to conduct surveysWould you like to conduct an online survey for your research? With Qualtrics, it is easy to design and conduct surveys. Qualtrics is available to all UvA students and staff members.
  • SURFspot: software at a reduced priceAs a UvA student, you can purchase software from renowned suppliers at a reduced rate via SURFspot. You can use the software as long as you study at the UvA.
  • Apps.uva.nl: free UvA software to use directly on your computerUse software installed on UvA computers directly on your own computer, iPad or phone via apps.uva.nl.
