Surfspot
At webshop SURFspot, you purchase software from renowned suppliers such as Adobe, Norton, McAfee and Microsoft. As a student, you get a reduced rate.
Good to know before you purchase:
- Please note that you can download Office 365 ProPlus (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) for free and directly through the UvA. You will find more information on the Office 365 page.
- To do so, go to uva.nl/downloadoffice.
- It is also worth checking first whether the software of your choice is available free of charge via apps.uva.nl or that you can use it on the liberary's computers.
- Are you new to the UvA? Note that you won't be able to log in on SURFspot with your student account until two weeks prior to the start of your study programme. For example: If your study programme starts on 3 September, you won't be able to log in to SURFspot untill 20 August.
SURFspot cloud services
Cloud services can be acquired via SURFspot. The SURFspot customer service can answer any questions about this. Also see the FAQ section on their website.
Software usage rights
You will not own the software. The right to use the software will lapse as soon as you are no longer a UvA student or the licence agreement has expired.
Support
The ICTS Service Desk does not provide support for SURFspot software. For a few of its programs, SURFspot sells
