What is your study programme?

If you find yourself in a situation where you feel unsafe, you can talk to a confidential adviser. In this video, Erik van Arkel and Myrthe van Amstel explain their role as confidential advisers and how they can help.

  • What you can do about undesirable behaviourAre you experiencing undesirable behaviour such as bullying, sexual harassment, aggression or discrimination, or are you being treated unjustly? Find out what you can do about it.
  • Contact a confidential adviserConfidential advisers are there to support you if you're experiencing undesirable behaviour. Their role is to listen, advise and refer. Everything you discuss is strictly confidential.
  • Courses and workshops about undesirable behaviourThe UvA offers training courses, workshops and theatre performances. You’ll learn to recognise unsafe situations and to address undesirable behaviour.
  • OmbudspersonThe ombudsperson examines problems within the organisation and advises faculties or the University on improvements. You can approach the ombudsperson for independent advice or mediation.
  • Make a complaint about undesirable behaviourAre you experiencing undesirable behaviour such as bullying, sexual harassment, aggression or discrimination, or are you being treated unjustly? Find out how to make a complaint.
