Change your personal details in Studielink
Details that you can always change yourself
In Studielink you can change the following information under ‘Details’ at any time:
It can take up to 24 hours for your information changes to be processed in all the UvA systems.
Details that you cannot always change yourself
There are also personal details that you cannot change yourself via Studielink. To change certain personal details you will need to make an appointment with your local municipality and this will only been changed once it has been updated in the Personal Records Database (BRP). Examples are:
The name registered in the Basisregistratie Personen is the name that will be listed on your diploma.
Check whether you can change your details yourself
Log in on Studielink and go to the tab ‘Details’ to see the verification status of your information:
- Personal details not verified (checked):
Change your personal details yourself via Studielink. Change the incorrect personal details. - Personal details verified (checked) by the BRP:
To change your personal details, make an appointment with your local municipality. The change will be sent to Studielink automatically from the Personal Records Database (BRP). - Personal details verified (checked) by the UvA:
Submit the changes yourself via Studielink. If you are unable to do this, please contact us via this form to change your personal details.

If you do not have a Studielink account, please use this form to change your personal details.
