This study investigated the association between therapeutic alliance and PTSD symptom change during Imagery Rescripting (ImRs) in individuals with childhood-related PTSD. While PTSD symptoms significantly decreased over the course of treatment, no significant relationship was found between alliance ratings and symptom reduction. Alliance was rated highly from the start, with little variation across sessions. This restricted range suggests a possible ceiling effect, which may have limited the ability to detect associations. These findings highlight the need for further research into the role of the therapeutic alliance in Imagery Rescripting.
