You’ll also know where to turn to if you encounter such behaviour.

E-learning module: social safety

How do you know when you’re dealing with undesirable behaviour? It’s not always clear where the boundaries lie. What one person experiences as undesirable behaviour isn’t always experienced the same way by someone else. This e-learning module will increase your awareness. You’ll also learn where to turn to at the UvA if you encounter undesirable behaviour. Go to the e-learning moduleExternal link

Interactive play: SAFE SPACE

SAFE SPACE is an interactive play about social safety at the university. Using scenes from the play, we enter into a conversation together. When do you feel safe or unsafe? What makes you feel safe or unsafe? And how do you deal with that? Serious and urgent, but also with humour and a sense of perspective. We discuss boundaries, thresholds, interests, traditions and beliefs.

Performance dates

The performance in English will take place in the CREA theatre on 29 November from 19:30-22:00. Register to attend Safe SpaceExternal link

Workshops about sex in student life

How do we want to treat each other when it comes to sex? This question takes centre stage in the workshops organised by the GELIJKSPEL (Fair Play) Foundation. During the workshop, students engage in conversation about how they want to interact with each other when it comes to sex. We’ll discuss topics such as checking preferences and boundaries, the pressure to ‘score’ and sexual pleasure. For more information on the workshops, you can visit the GELIJKSPEL website: www.gelijkspel.orgExternal link (in Dutch). If you’re interested in an English or Dutch workshop for your study association, contact Arjen Berkvens, coordinating confidential adviser, at a.berkvens@uva.nlExternal link.
