Who can join the UvA panel

All students and employees at the University of Amsterdam who have a UvA, AUC, ACTA or AMC email address can join the UvA panel.

How to register

You can register for the UvA panel by completing a short form.

What does a UvA panel member do

As a panel member, you'll receive an invitation about 10 times a year to share your opinion on various topics. You can participate through an online survey or an interview in the studies that have been selected especially for you. Your answers will help the university improve its communication and services. Participation is voluntary: for each invitation you receive, you can decide whether you want to participate.

Reward for participating in the UvA panel

For an interview, every participant will receive a Bol.com voucher. The value of the voucher depends on the length of the study. For an online questionnaire, a number of Bol.com vouchers will be raffled off. Each participant in a study is assigned a unique code. Based on these unique codes, participants are randomly selected to win a gift voucher. At the start of each study, the number of available vouchers will be communicated.

How to end your UvA panel membership

If you no longer want to take part in the UvA panel, you can end your membership at any time by sending an email to uvapanel@uva.nlExternal link.

Notifications of studies you can participate in

You will receive an email as soon as there’s a study you can participate in. If the study is being done using a questionnaire, you'll receive a link to the questionnaire in this email. For interviews (online or in person), you can sign up through the email and you'll receive an official invitation to participate later.

Duration of a study

The duration of a study depends on many factors. Filling out a questionnaire will take approximately 8 minutes and an interview will take roughly 1 hour. We will always let you know how long the study will take before you accept the invitation.

Declare panel fees to the Dutch tax authorities

In general, panel fees are low amounts of money and only paid out a few times a year. In most cases, there will be no need to declare this to the Dutch tax authorities. This differs per person, however. As a student you are responsible for correctly filling out your own tax returns.
