Each year, a maximum of 5 grants of €300 per month are made available to Surinamese students who, through no fault of their own, are finding it difficult to pay for their studies. These grants are awarded for a period of no more than 8 months.
The aim is to promote study progress, which will make it easier for students to apply for funds from private institutions. The following factors will be taken into consideration during the selection process: study progress, the expected graduation date and other income.
