As a student at UvA, you are given an email address by the university (firstname.lastname@student.uva.nl). The UvA sends all information about your study programme via email. Check your UvA mailbox or your private email address regularly so you don't miss anything.
If you use Hotmail, Live Mail, MSN Mail or Gmail, emails sent to you by the UvA may sometimes fail to arrive or end up in your spam folder. Check your spam folder regularly and add the UvA to your trusted senders list.
If you prefer to keep your study emails separate from your personal emails, you can disable automatic forwarding. To do so, go to id.uva.nl, click on 'My details,' and delete the email forwarding address. Note that this can only be done once you are officially enrolled.
Do you want to provide a different personal email address? You can do so in Studielink, under the tab 'Details.'
