What is your study programme?

There are various communities students can join to help them feel at home at the University of Amsterdam. These (social) networks provide opportunities to get to know others, come together and share their experiences.

UvA Pride

UvA PrideExternal link is a social network, knowledge hub and emancipation movement for the LGBTQ+ community at the University of Amsterdam.

UvA IDEAs

UvA IDEAs is a platform run by students with a disability who are committed to creating an accessible and inclusive university. UvA IDEAs is here to help all students with a disability and/or chronic illness who would like to meet like-minded people.

Dutch-Caribbean students

In the HvAnti networkExternal link, Dutch-Caribbean students help each other study and live in the Netherlands.

Surinamese students

The 'Successfully from Suriname to the UvA' initiative was set up specifically for Surinamese students who want to study in the Netherlands. Learn more about financial grants for Surinamese students

Support for refugees
