What is your study programme?

What do you need to bear in mind if you wish to change the language of instruction for your study programme? What is the best way to do this, and when should you do it?

Some study programmes can be followed in one language (English or Dutch) or in a bilingual variant (both English and Dutch) wherein you can sometimes even choose to follow a course, assignment or workgroup in Dutch or English.

Obviously, you’ll have thought carefully about your choice of language when you enrol. In practice, however, things may not work out as well as you had anticipated. Sometimes your study progress may even suffer as a result of your lack of command of the chosen language of instruction. You may now be considering changing language as a result, or may have already chosen to do so.
