QTEM Programme for Economics and Business Master's students
The QTEM programme is an ambitious and selective programme for outstanding students. QTEM offers a strong background in quantitative and analytical skills and techniques applied to management or economics, gives you the opportunity to study a (second) semester abroad, and has a mandatory internship component, which will enhance your chances on the labour market.
Do exchanges at top universities and specialize in Data and Analytics at the same time
QTEM (Quantitative Techniques for Economics and Management) is an international network of top Business and Economics Schools. The QTEM experience allows you to highlight your CV by adding the QTEM degree on top of your local University of Amsterdam master’s degree.
By Joining the program:
- You will be able to do an exchange in top Academic Partners of the network picking curses related to Quants. The doors of outstanding universities will be opened to you: from Japan to Canada, the world is yours.
- You will participate in the QTEM Data Challenge working in teams on real data provided by top companies that are part of the network. You may win cash prizes and receive job offers from the companies.
- You will attend QTEM international events and network with some of the best students around the globe. Attend classes in some of the best universities, discover different cultures and develop a data-oriented career.

These are the Master's programmes at University from Amsterdam that allow you to apply to the QTEM Degree:

- Actuarial Science and Mathematical Finance
- Business Administration

- Economics
- Entrepreneurship
- Finance
The requirements listed on the QTEM website are general requirements. The specific requirements of Economics & Business students (UvA) are as follows:
- You are a good student, having performed well in your Bachelor's as well as in your Master's programme;
- You are proficient in English; including proof;
- You are highly motivated;
- Your GMAT Focus Edition test score is 605 or higher (scores from the classis GMAT need to be 650 or higher). The test needs to be taken within the last 3 years. Download the GMAT-GRE preparation guide (pdf) (pdf);
- You can also apply if you have not done the GMAT yet. If you are selected for the programme, your selection is conditional. You must then submit your GMAT score before May 20 (for exchange in the first semester) or before September 20 (for exchange in the second semester).

Funding
QTEM students may apply for both an Erasmus+ Exchange Grant and an Erasmus+ Traineeship Grant. The amount you will receive depends on your destination. You can also apply for a travel scholarship at the Amsterdam University Fund. Whether you can also apply for more scholarships depends on your study programme and destination.
