Roeterseiland Campus, Building A, Lecture Room: A1.07
If you work with any type of data, then it is likely you have had the option to program before. This option can be daunting due to the complexities and large scope of programming knowledge. This workshop aims to introduce you to this world so that you can start utilizing its capabilities and improve your aptitude with data and visualization.
This will be accomplished through theory and visual exercises that use increasing amounts of programming in PowerBI and R with an emphasis on the basics of programming and its generalizable logic and structures. The workshop has immediate benefits for programming beginners whom are reluctant to use programming related tools or software for studies.
Please, bring your own laptop with, PowerBI DesktopExternal link, RExternal link and R-studioExternal link downloaded if you don't have them already (Recommended). Alternatively, PowerBI is also readily available through this UvA portalExternal link, or you could access all three virtually (and slower) through apps.uva.nlExternal link.
