Fewer coffee machines

We are working and studying at home more and, as a result, some coffee machines are standing idle. These machines do consume power and require maintenance; they can be more sustainable and efficient. And so we are removing some little-used machines. That way, we save on energy and maintenance and avoid unnecessary costs. No worries: the coffee stays close by.

What will you notice about this on the Science Park?

We are removing two vending machines in building 904 (C) at the beginning of July:

  • One on the 3rd floor, at space C3.43.
  • One on the 4th floor, at space C4.41.

This is where you get your coffee

Plenty of coffee vending machines remain nearby, such as (about 50 metres away):

  • On the third floor, at space 3.149
  • On the fourth floor, at space 4.269

Vegan and fresh milk

You can still get coffee with vegan powdered milk on the ground floor in the restaurant and at C2.41. From August, there will also be a vending machine with fresh cow and oat milk on the 3rd floor as well as iced coffee.

More sustainable and efficient

We are tackling UvA-wide at many locations. This makes the UvA one step more sustainable and efficient, which fits in perfectly with our current times and our policies.
