FSR EB represents the interests of EB students and consults multiple times per year with the dean and director of operations (part of EB Faculty Board) on faculty policy and student interests. The council has 10 members and is supported by a Secretary. By law, the Student Council has advisory rights and right of consent on several faculty decisions, e.g. the Teaching and Examination Regulations (OER).

What are you going to do?

Your tasks consist of:

• supporting the FSR in its work and in its contact with the Faculty Board;
• scheduling and taking minutes of FSR meetings and consultation meetings (with the Faculty Board);
• maintaining the council's archive in terms of minutes and (online) mail;
• maintaining and responding to all incoming mail and
• other support activities on a daily basis. 

What are we looking for?

The Secretary we are looking for:

• is a student that is enrolled in one of UvA EB’s Bachelor or Master programmes in the 2024/2025 academic year;
• is available for a longer period of time, preferable longer than one academic year;
• is someone who takes initiative and is proactive, with good communication and social skills;
• has good English proficiency;
• has a good ability to work independently;
• has experience with secretarial task and works accurately;
• is flexible;
• is well reachable.

The vacancy

You’ll receive a contract via StudiJob from 1 September 2024 until 1 September 2025 for 8 hours per week. An extension of the contract is possible if you are still enrolled as student the next academic year.

The gross monthly salary based on full-time employment (38 hours per week) ranges from €2.618,- to a maximum € 2.846,- (salary scale student-assistant). This is exclusive 8% holiday allowance. The starting salary will be based on number of ECTS gained as a student.
