All 460 study spaces in the P.C. Hoofthuis Library are available on 16 and 17 December from 09:00 to 21:00hrs. Access is only possible with a valid UvA student card.
At the Roeterseiland Campus, you can study in building V from Monday 18 December to Thursday 21 December. More than 800 extra study spaces are available from 08:00 to 20:00hrs.
During the exam period, it's important to know which location is less crowded. You can find all extended opening hours and occupancy indicators on the study spaces page on the Library's website.
For booking project rooms or study cabinets, see UvA Spacefinder (Mapiq), inquire with your study association, or at the library desk.
Do you want optimal focus during the exam period? You can sign up for guided study sessions. These take place every day from 11 December until 21 December from 10:00 to 22:00hrs.
Guided studying is done in teams in the special Focus Room (room C.1.01) of the University Library Singel, or online in a Microsoft Teams environment. A trained team of student hosts and specialist is ready to lead the study sessions effectively.
There is a fixed schedule. In addition to studying there is time for breaks, reflection, collaboration, and information sharing.
A tightened access policy applies during exam periods. Please note that the Library is only accessible with a valid UvA student or staff card.
On the website of the Library you can find all the opening hours.
