Message from the Board / FSR: Situation in Israel and the Palestinian territories is stirring up a great deal of emotion

Published on 22-11-2023
Over the last few weeks, an incident at a graduation ceremony, a demonstration on campus and the publicity about it, has stirred up a great deal of emotion, also within our academic community. There is anger, there are fears, there are worries, there is discomfort, sadness and pain; through personal involvement via family, friends or other connections.

What is your study programme?

Due to our international character and due to the diversity of our EB community, emotions, perspectives and opinions may differ. It’s important that we keep communicating with each other. Listening to each other is as important as speaking.

We are proud of our diversity and the fact that we are always open to conversation and social engagement. Even in these turbulent times, let’s stay open to each other's opinions and feelings. Together we can create a safe, peaceful and pleasant work and study environment. This is an essential value to which we are committed. We hope for speedy de-escalation of armed conflicts in the world.

Should you need help or support you can always contact the study advisers, a confidential adviser, and your fellow students of the Faculty Student Council.
