What is your study programme?

During Meet your Mentor, you'll work on your post-study career for 3 months with the support of a mentor from your field. The UvA will find a mentor for you who suits your needs, based on your studies and what you'd like assistance with. Here's what those 3 months look like:

  1. A kick-off meeting where you'll meet your mentor, the other mentees, and the Meet your Mentor team
  2. Through the online mentoring platform, you'll attend a workshop where you'll receive tips on how to make the most of this mentorship project
  3. After the online workshop, you'll schedule at least 1 meeting per month with your mentor. You can arrange the location and duration of the meetings with your mentor.
  4. After 3 months, you'll attend the closing meeting to reflect together.

Why participate?

The outcome of participating in Meet your Mentor varies for everyone. It depends on what you want to learn from this programme. The Meet your Mentor team hopes that after the programme:

  • You'll be more confident about your chances of finding suitable work
  • You'll have a better idea of what you want to do after your studies
  • You'll be able to present yourself effectively to employers in a way that suits you
