What to expect

During this programme, you'll discuss your personal challenges as a future professional working in the Netherlands together with your group and mentor.

Included in the programme:

  • A kick-off event where you will meet your mentor, the other mentees and the Meet your Mentor team
  • A 3-month mentoring period with 3 in-person or online meetings with your mentor
  • Guidelines on how to prepare yourself for the mentoring sessions with your mentor

The match between mentors and mentees will be based on your Master's programme, the registration form and the mentors available. We don’t guarantee a job nor internship but you'll have chance to network.

If you want more information on finding a job, please sign up for one of the workshops offered by the UvA Student Careers Centre.

For whom?

You can join the International Mentor programme if:

  • you're the first person in your family to study at a university [first-generation student] and/or you identify as a student of colour
  • you want to prepare for starting a career in the Netherlands
  • you study at one of the following faculties: Economics and Business (EB), Humanities (FGW) or Science (FNWI)
