Many students studying work and organizational psychology are highly interested in the application of psychology within a business-driven environment. Deloitte, one of the Big Four consultancy firms, exemplifies how psychological principles can thrive and substantially contribute to business success. In this talk, Anouk Nijman and Dagmar van der Heijde, graduates of the Consultancy and Organizational Development Master’s Track at the University of Amsterdam and consultants with over three years of experience at Deloitte, will share their insights. They will introduce key psychological theories employed in their work, such as Kotter’s 8 Steps to Change and burnout prevention, and discuss strategies for effectively communicating psychological concepts to business-oriented audiences. This session highlights the critical intersection of psychology and organizational development within high-impact corporate settings.
