Give your opinion about the UvA through the National Student Survey

Published on 15-01-2024
On 18 January, you will receive an invitation to complete the National Student Survey (NSE). This survey allows you to give your opinion about your degree programme and the UvA. Are there enough study spaces? Do you feel safe and at the university? Are your lecturers knowledgeable? Help us to further improve your education. The more students complete the NSE, the more useful the results will be.

The NSE is an annual nationwide survey for students in the Netherlands, organised by the National Study Choice Centre (Landelijk Centrum Studiekeuze).

You will receive an invitation in your student email with a link to the NSE. Completing the survey will take no more than 15 minutes. If you don’t fill in the NSE immediately, you’ll receive four more reminders. So avoid a full inbox and answer the questions as soon as possible.

Win an Apple MacBook Air, two months of UvA coffee machine credits and more!

When you complete the NSE, you stand a chance to win great prizes. The UvA will raffle off 20 packages of coffee machine credits (pdf) among all UvA students who complete the survey. In addition, the National Study Choice Centre will raffle off:

  • 1 Apple MacBook Air
  • 4 Sony noise-cancelling headphones
  • 3 Logitech mouse and keyboard sets
  • 400 Bol.com vouchers worth €25

The results will be used for improvements and guidance

The National Study Choice Centre will publish the results on 28 May. All universities and universities of applied sciences in the Netherlands will then receive an overall score and a score on components such as study guidance, examination and quality of education. UvA employees will use these results to improve the university for you. The Ministry of Education will use the results to provide future students with objective information about degree programmes.
