POP3 and IMAP do not meet our safety requirements, and are therefore not available.

Sending limit

You can send emails to a maximum of 250 addresses per hour. This can be either in one message with 250 addresses in the To/Cc/Bcc fields, or more messages with fewer recipients. A distribution list or group from the shared address book counts as one recipient. If you exceed this limit, you will not be able to email to addresses outside the UvA for 24 hours. After that period, you can resend saved messages, bearing in mind the sending limit.

Software to read email

Use one of the following software programmes to read your email:

Using email after terminating your enrolment

When you deregister as a student, you can use your UvA email address as long as your UvAnetID is still valid. After that, your UvA email account will be closed.
