What is your study programme?

Programme committees consist of half students and half teachers, and have an important task in ensuring the quality of the education (process).

A Programme Committee has the task of advising (unsolicited) on the promotion and safeguarding of the quality of the program(s). It does so by advising on the Education and Examination Regulations (OER) and on their implementation, and by giving (unsolicited) advice to the study programme's management and the dean on all matters concerning education in the study programme concerned. In this way, the OC fulfills an indispensable part of quality assurance.

This is what the Programme Committee does

The Programme Committee provides advice on the promotion and safeguarding of quality of education. In addition, the Programme Committee:

  1. Has a right to advise and approve on a number of topics in the Teaching and Examination Regulations, and the right to be consulted with regard to other topics in said regulations;
  2. Is charged with an annual review of the implementation of Teaching and Examination Regulations;
  3. Is charged with issuing advice and proposals to both the director of the degree programme and to the dean on all matters relating to the educational content of the degree programme in question.

You can find a detailed description of the tasks of Programme Committees in the guide for Programme Committees (pdf).
