Guidelines 

UvA AI Chat is here to support you in your learning activities, not to do them for you. That’s why we want to set clear boundaries for usage:

• Do not use the output from UvA AI Chat in work that will be graded (like assignments, essays or your thesis), unless you have explicit permission from your lecturer and you are transparent about how you used it. 
• Think carefully about what you share. Be cautious with sharing sensitive information. 
• Always stay critical of the output. Don’t take answers at face value and keep thinking critically. 
• Using UvA AI Chat during exams or other forms of assessment is not allowed unless permission has been granted explicitly. 

Using the tool to generate entire texts or partial texts and submitting them as your own work will be considered plagiarism or fraud. You will receive information from your study programme about which applications of generative AI are allowed in any given course.
