After (conditional) admission

Decline your participation

If you decide to decline your participation, make sure you also withdraw your enrolment request in StudielinkExternal link. By doing so, you will no longer receive any emails about completing your enrolment.

Deferral

The UvA does not offer deferrals in the traditional sense of the word. If you wish to defer, you must submit a new enrolment request in StudielinkExternal link and again meet the deadlines, admission and entry requirements applicable to your programme.

2. Submit your digital documents

All the information about submitting your certified documents is available under Submitting digital documentsExternal link. As soon as you meet all the conditions you will receive a Statement of Admission.

3. What you need to arrange for as an international student

If you are an international student, you will need to arrange a number of practical matters before starting your studies. 

• Request a visa or residence permitExternal link
• Find student housing
• Arrange healthcare and liability insurance

Please note: you will be invited to start the visa and housing procedure after you have confirmed your participation. The procedures start about three months before your studies commence.
