Increasing sedentary behaviours are becoming a norm rather than exception. There is a growing concern regarding sedentary behaviours among university students, a trend linked with adverse physiological and cognitive effects. The current study focuses on individuals with ADHD, who often struggle with traditional educational formats and exhibit unique learning challenges. It explores the potential of integrating physical exercise with auditory learning via podcasts as a novel educational strategy to mitigate these challenges. Firstly, employing a simple moderation model, the current study aims to investigate whether physical exercise and audio learning are particulairly beneficial for those with ADHD. Moreover, employing a moderated mediation model, the study assesses how physical activity might influence cognitive demand and enhance learning processes and whether these effects are particularly pronounced in individuals with ADHD. This investigation is prompted by the need to find practical, inclusive educational methods that not only counteract the negative impacts of a sedentary lifestyle but also tailor learning environments to support the diverse needs of students with ADHD. The research examines various interactions within the model to understand how educational practices can be adapted to foster better cognitive engagement and academic performance in this population.
