Stay focused during the summer months with guided study sessions

Will you be studying through the summer? The Library invites students to participate in the 'Summer Study Sprint'. Every Monday from 10 July to 28 August, you will be able to benefit from guided study sessions and a stimulating study environment where you will experience social pressure with fellow students, with the ultimate goal of successfully completing your studies.

The 'Summer Study Sprint' will consist of one study session per week, each Monday, from 9:30 to 16:30. Fixed time periods will be used during these sessions. There will be a short break after every 40 minutes of study, to keep your brain engaged. Information specialists will be on hand throughout the day to support you and guide you in your study progress. Student hosts will be responsible for running these sessions.

How can I attend the study sessions? 

You can attend the guided study sessions either online or in person.

Online: check inExternal link using the Online Study Space app and join the study session in MS Teams (no download required).

In person: you can study in the designated study area at the University Library on Singel, room C1.02.

Thesis writing support 

Every Monday, you can participate in a guided study session.

If you need extra help with finding sources, academic writing or methodology, you can ask the expert staff available, such as information specialists from the Library and staff from the Writing Centre and Methodology Shop.

Free coffee, tea and snacks

If you choose to participate in the 'Summer Study Sprint' in person, you can use the coffee and tea facilities free of charge. You will also get free snacks between 12:30 and 13:00. 

Broad study offer

The Online Study Space is the place to study, collaborate, get inspiration, share knowledge and meet new people. It offers structure and motivation while studying. The hosts, who are also students, will be there to guide you, to keep the study sessions on track.
