You can be nominated until 20 May
If you would like to be in with a chance of winning an ECHO Award, ask a UvA staff member to nominate you. Any UvA staff member can nominate students.
For example, you may be nominated by a lecturer, your programme director or your study adviser.
You can refer staff members to this page (only available to UvA staff) for more information on how to nominate a student.
How the nomination process works
The UvA may nominate a total of six candidates for two ECHO Award categories. If more students are nominated, an internal jury will select the final nominations.
What nominated students will receive
The six students nominated by the UvA will automatically join the ECHO Ambassadors Network: a community of like-minded people who contribute to diversity, equity and inclusion in society.
Winner of the ECHO Awards will have the opportunity to take part in a summer programme at the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA). The summer course at UCLA is subject to availability. If participation proves not to be possible, a suitable alternative will be arranged in consultation with the winners.

"Thanks to the nomination, I became part of such a wonderful community.” - Lakiescha Tol
