To take part in the UvA Thesis Prize, you must have graduated between 1 April 2025 and 1 April 2026 and have scored 9 or higher for your master's thesis at the UvA.
The jury will select one winner per faculty, each receiving €1,000. From these faculty winners, the jury - made up of the deans of all faculties - will choose the very best thesis of this year. This thesis will be awarded the top prize of 3,000 euros!
Last year, the faculty prizes were awarded to Beau van Dijk, Olaiya Antonia Aro, Selena Huisman, Aleksandra Guzik, Marlies Couch and Nina Chen. The grand prize went to Merel Bonewit (Economics & Business Administration) with her thesis on optimising stroke care.
