Vacancy content creator social media (2 hours a week)
The social media team at UvA Economics and Business is looking for a student content creator for 2 hours per week. You will create videos for our social media channels, including Instagram Reels, TikToks and YouTube Shorts.Your content could include a ‘Day in the life’-video' where you take viewers along with you during your student day, a video about information events for prospective students such as the Open Campus Day, or a video with useful study tips. You might also create inspiring videos about campus life or turn social media trends into fun, UvA-related content. You will occasionally take photos or cover events through short videos. We would also love to hear your own creative ideas. As a student, you know better than anyone what our audience finds fun, relatable and interesting.
What will you do?
You will:
- create social media content, mainly videos and occasionally photos, about education, research and activities for prospective and current EB students, alumni and anyone else interested in EB;
- make videos in which you interview students, show a day in your life as a student, or explain information about events such as information sessions in a clear and accessible way;
- appear on camera or record voice-overs for videos;
- attend events and cover them through photos and videos;
- edit videos in CapCut and create designs in Canva Pro. Tutorials are available;
- share your own ideas for relevant, current and trending content;
- on average create 1 video per week.
This job is a great fit for you if you:
- are a UvA Economics and Business Bachelor’s or Master’s student;
- have obtained at least 60 European Credits (EC);
- have experience creating content for TikTok, Instagram or YouTube Shorts. This is an advantage;
- enjoy appearing on camera and recording voice-overs;
- are proactive and enjoy coming up with and developing your own video ideas;
- keep up with social media trends and developments;
- preferably have some experience with CapCut and Canva Pro, or are keen to learn;
- are available from mid-August, and no later than 1 September 2026, until 1 September 2027.
