An overview of all new features:

• New Claude models: Claude Sonnet 4.6 and Kaiku 4.5 have been added as models you can work with in the environment.
• Speech services: via the microphone button in the chat input field you can now talk directly with UvA AI Chat and have it talk back to you.
• Web crawler: UvA AI Chat can look up the content of a website during your conversation, as long as the website allows this.
• Edusources MCP: search for and retrieve educational materials from Edusources, an open platform with digital learning materials for Dutch education.
• RAG Tool Call: more transparency about searching for and retrieving documents.
• Image generation: you can once again generate images. The model uses your exact prompt; it is no longer rewritten. Powered by Flux Schnell (open-weight), running on the AI Hub.
• Mermaid diagrams: UvA AI Chat can now draw “mermaid” diagrams, such as flowcharts, timelines, etc.
• Study mode: the specially developed “study mode” for students is working correctly again.
• Bug fixes: various minor issues have been resolved.
