Join the Accessibility Taskforce

Published on 12-03-2026
Do you want to help make our university a place where everyone can fully take part? The UvA and AUAS are starting an Accessibility Taskforce: a group of 8–10 students and staff who test accessibility, spot problems and think about solutions on our campuses.

We are looking for students who want to help make our buildings, services and learning environment more accessible. If you have personal experience with disability or accessibility barriers, that is a plus. But you are also very welcome to apply if you are simply interested in accessibility. We want a diverse group with many different experiences and perspectives.

Concrete recommendations

During the meetings we carry out accessibility checks: we test buildings, routes, facilities and services. As a student with personal experience or as an engaged student, you play an important role in improving physical and social accessibility at the UvA and AUAS. Your concrete advice will lead to real improvements on campus.

The Taskforce meets about 8 times a year for checks and meetings. This is about 16 hours per year. Participants receive €30 per meeting as compensation. If you are interested in doing more outside these meetings, this is possible in consultation.
