Inspection and removal of several sound-absorbing panels
Following this incident, Facility Services inspected the sound-absorbing panels in all buildings on the Roeterseiland Campus. Panels showing irregularities were removed as a precaution.
Investigation into the cause
Technical specialists are investigating the cause of the changes in a number of sound-absorbing panels. The results of this investigation will determine whether additional measures are needed.
Panels are inspected daily
Panels that showed no irregularities during the inspection remain in place. Until the cause of the changes in the removed panels is known, all panels will be reinspected daily. If new irregularities are found, the panels will be removed as a precaution.

We are committed to inspecting all panels in the Roeterseiland Campus buildings as carefully as possible. If you notice anything about a panel that concerns you, please report it in Planon. Facility Services will ensure that an inspection takes place as soon as possible.
