From Copenhagen to Amsterdam: Danish Betty brings Danish street food to OMHP

Published on 09-07-2026
A freshly baked cinnamon bun with your coffee or a traditional hot dog for lunch? From 1 September, it will be possible at OMHP. Danish Betty will open its doors at the spot previously occupied by Amsterbammetje.

Unfortunately, Amsterbammetje has decided to end its activities with us. Nanda, the driving force behind Amsterbammetje, has been the familiar face of OMHP: a true ‘Amsterdammer’ who knows staff and students by name and understands what they want as customers. Together with her son Rick, she created a strong concept at this beautiful location. We will miss her outspoken personality and her warm, customer-friendly approach.

Danish Betty is a young family business run by a 25-year-old entrepreneur and his mother. Together, they bring a piece of Danish food culture to the campus. Everything is prepared fresh each day: from classic Danish hot dogs to homemade cinnamon buns.

Beyond the campus, Danish Betty has already built up a loyal group of visitors. Through Instagram, Facebook and coverage in, among others, Het Parool, food lovers have found their way to the business. They now bring that experience to OMHP.

With this new operator, the campus gains a distinctive food concept: a place where speed, quality and craftsmanship come together, and where students and staff can try something different from their usual lunch.
