A disability or chronic illness can make studying take more time and energy. Some needs are visible; many are not—think dyslexia, ADD/ADHD, autism, or mental health conditions. The UvA offers support so you can follow your courses and take exams as smoothly as possible.

In the online information session Studying with a disability or chronic illness, UvA student counsellors and study advisers explain what support is available and how to arrange it. The session, on 8 September from 17.00-18.00 hours, covers study adjustments, exam arrangements, and the practical steps to get started. You’ll learn who to contact, what to prepare, and how to plan the right solutions for your situation. There’s room for questions, and you’ll be directed to the right follow-up support within Student Services.
