Make a positive impact with innovative solutions
In this entrepreneurship competition:
- you will be challenged to think out-of-the-box
- you work in interdisciplinary teams with students from different courses and areas of expertise
- create innovative solutions to social and sustainability issues
- make a positive impact within 4 themes: responsible digital transformations, fair and resilient societies, sustainable prosperity and a healthy future
The competition is an initiative of UvA Economics and Business (EB). After a successful 1st edition (formerly the UvA EB Challenge) UvA students from all disciplines can participate so you can benefit from different perspectives as a team.
Collaborate and broaden your network with business experts
Collaboration and co-creation are key. Under the guidance of experienced coaches from the business world, you’ll develop your innovative ideas into a concrete and executable business plan. Or you'll further develop your existing start-up. You will also receive training in ‘design thinking’ among other things, and learn how to pitch your business plan.
You’ll do so together with leading companies and social organisations in the Amsterdam region. This way, you’ll immediately expand your network with professional contacts that will benefit you for the rest of your career.
Win a prize
Besides gaining valuable experience and making new connections, you'll also have a chance of winning prize money: €1,000 (audience award), €1,500 (ideation award) or €2,500 (advanced award). You can use this prize money to implement your business plan or to further develop your existing start-up.
