We spoke to the 3 winners chosen by the jury and audience. Favian Brzeski, David Morgan and Fildzah Hazimi Nauli talk about their business plans, what was their most valuable experience from the challenge, and what their next step will be.
Favian and David: ‘Our business plan focuses on converting non-recyclable textile waste into sustainable and recyclable products, starting with clothes hangers for fashion brands. In the long term, we plan to expand into other industries.’
Fildzah: ‘JAMBLE! connects recent graduates and job seekers to make the job application process less lonely, less stressful and more structured through guided sessions and peer matching. This way, looking for a job doesn't have to be a lonely task.
Favian and David: ‘The most valuable lesson we learned was how important it is that our product itself is also fully recyclable at the end of its life cycle. The jury emphasised how crucial this closed-loop approach is, which reinforced our belief that circular design must be integrated into every phase of innovation.’
Fildzah: ‘I now have a better idea of what is involved in starting your own business. It was also great to be surrounded by so many talented people and helpful mentors.’
Favian and David: ‘Our next step is to further develop our product. We are also looking for partners and investigating the possibilities for scaling up production.’
Fildzah: ‘I have been talking to a number of people about possible collaborations and next steps to take JAMBLE! to the next level.’
