This was a decent score for the UvA, with programme satisfaction levels remaining nearly the same as last year (3.86). The UvA’s score was slightly below the average of 3.95 for general universities.
On a 5-point scale, a rating higher than 3.5 is considered adequate. In addition to general satisfaction, you also awarded scores on aspects such as the content of the programme and connection to professional practice.

The results of the NSE will be analysed throughout the UvA and used to improve the university. For instance, previous NSE results led to the creation of the UvA Job BoardExternal link for students and alumni, and students can now see the results of course evaluations. The results will also be used to provide information to prospective students at a national level.
The National Student Survey (NSE) is a nationwide survey of student satisfaction. Every year, almost all students in Dutch higher education are invited to give their opinion on their degree programme and on their research university or university of applied sciences.
