The Faculty Student Council of UvA Economics and Business (FSR EB) is looking for a new official secretary from 1 September 2025.

The FSR EB represents the interests of EB students and consults several times a year with the dean and director of operations (part of the EB faculty board) on policy and student interests. The council consists of 10 members and is supported by an official secretary. By law, the Student Council has advisory and consent rights on various faculty decisions, such as the Education and Examination Regulations (OER).

What will you do?

Your duties include:

  • supporting the FSR in its work and in its contact with the faculty board;
  • planning and taking minutes of FSR meetings and consultation meetings (with the faculty board);
  • maintaining the council's archive in terms of minutes and (online) mail;
  • maintaining and answering all incoming mail;
  • other support activities.

What are we looking for?

The official secretary we are looking for:

  • is a student that is enrolled in one of UvA EB’s Bachelor or Master programmes in the 2025/2026 academic year;
  • is available for a longer period of time, preferable longer than 1 academic year;
  • is someone who takes initiative and is proactive, with good communication and social skills;
  • has a good command of the English language;
  • can work independently;
  • has experience with secretarial task and works accurately;
  • is flexible;
  • is well reachable.

The vacancy

You will have a contract through StudiJob from 1 September 2025 to 1 September 2026 for 6 hours a week. An extension of the contract is possible if you are still enrolled as a student in the next academic year. The position is classified in the student assistant salary scale of the CAO Dutch Universities, which means that you will earn a minimum hourly wage of €19.24. This can go up to €19.61 depending on your educational level and number of ECTS. The 8.3% end-of-year bonus is included in this hourly wage.
