The confidants are UvA employees who have been specially trained for this purpose. Each faculty or department has at least one confidential advisor. You can choose who you approach, it may be a confidential advisor from our own faculty or department but that is not necessary.
Rosa Möhrlein and Larissa Put have recently started working as confidential advisors for staff and students.
Rosa Möhrlein joined the Amsterdam Law School in 2020. In addition to being a lecturer, she is the coordinator of the experiential education programme in the Master's programmes: the Amsterdam Law Practice.
'I have a PhD in international law, but also a Bachelor's degree in psychology. As a result, I have always been curious about people and like to offer a listening ear and a helping hand. I think it is important that the university (and the faculties) provide a safe learning environment where students and staff can learn and grow from each other.'
Larissa has been working as a Marketing Advisor Bachelors since 2023, where she contributes to the annual intake of new students for the programmes. Larissa has a Master's degree in Business Psychology and spent 15 years working in the commercial and not-for-profit sectors in HR, market research and marketing.
'I am happy to bring my people-oriented drive to this organisation as a confidential advisor for the UvA. I think it is important that students and staff who are experiencing distress in the social environment and do not feel safe can find support. I want to be there so that you can tell your story in confidence and really feel heard.'
Larissa starts her role as confidential adviser in February 2025.
We believe that an inclusive community, where everyone feels respected and free, is an important environment. At the UvA we strive to create a safe, healthy and pleasant environment for our students and staff. If you encounter unwanted behaviour (sexual harassment, aggression, violence, bullying, discrimination), you can contact the confidential advisors for unwanted behaviour.
