Following a comprehensive tender process, the University of Amsterdam (UvA) selected ING Bank in May 2025 as its new main banking partner for all payment services. Until now, UvA has worked with Deutsche Bank. From 25 November, all UvA payments will be handled through ING.

What does this mean for you?

You have transferred your tuition fees yourself in one go. Make sure you update the bank account number in your bank's address book for the next academic year.

You do not need to take any action if:

  • You have authorised the UvA, or someone else has authorised payment on your behalf via Studielink. This means your tuition fees are paid by direct debit. In that case, you do not need to do anything: your authorisation will automatically be updated to the new ING Bank account number. From December, your tuition fee will be collected through ING.

You need to take action if one of the following applies to you:

  • You have paid your tuition fees yourself in one instalment or in several instalments.
Please update our new bank account number in your bank’s address book for next year.
  • The new bank account number is: NL46INGB0113430604, BIC code INGBNL2A.

You can read more about paying your tuition fees on the UvA student site
