Check space availability

During the exam period, it’s especially useful to know in advance which locations are likely to be the least busy. With Officebooking, you get a clear overview of all available study spaces within the UvA. You also need this tool to reserve a study booth or project room. We recommend installing the Officebooking app on your phone.
For the most up-to-date opening times, please visit the study spaces page.
Studying at P.C. Hoofthuis

Although the collections are being relocated and borrowing services will cease as of 16 June, it will still be possible to study at P.C. Hoofthuis. On the ground floor, 127 study spaces remain available in the Library Learning Space.
As of 1 September, the entire Humanities collection, currently split between the Singel location and P.C. Hoofthuis, will be brought together under one roof in the new University Library on Vendelstraat.
Weekend of 21–22 June

The three main library locations will remain open:
- University Library Singel will be open until 01:00
- The Library Learning Centre at Roeterseiland (REC-H) and Science Park 904 will close at 22:00
Stricter access policy
Please note that a stricter access policy is in place during exam periods. The Library is accessible only with a valid physical UvA student or staff card.
