In November and December, we invited students and staff once again through newsletters, social media and personal invitations from confidential advisers and deans. The registrations came in quickly, and this year, more than 500 people signed up! Many came alone and didn’t know anyone, but it was beautiful to see how new connections were made at the long tables, conversations took place and everyone laughed together.

Music bingo and festive photos together

We wrapped up the afternoon with an energetic music bingo. Participants received a bingo card with various songs. They not only played the music bingo eagerly but also sang along and danced. Fun prizes were up for grabs, such as board games, movie tickets and even a stylish sweater from the UvA or AUAS. In addition, students had the opportunity to take festive photos together with Christmas-themed props.

Six years of Christmas lunches: a growing initiative

This was the sixth time Facility Services organised this special Christmas lunch for students and staff of the AUAS and the UvA. The organising team this year consisted of Pieter Mendelts, Jasmijn Ritmeester, Carina van Uffelen and Sharon Schoenmaker.
