It was a meticulous task to review the entries and select the top 10 carefully. With great respect for the creativity, diversity, and spirit of exploration at the heart of the competition, the jury weighed each entry against the pre-determined criteria. After due diligence, the jury concluded that there could be only one winner: 'Gator, graduated' by Pika Ivana Kostanjšek.
About the photo, the jury says: "Pika's picture brilliantly captures the essence of studying abroad in an unexpected way, contrasting a student's silhouette against a world-famous landmark. The flawless composition and deliberate colour balance create a crisp, sharp image that exudes serenity while sparking curiosity. It invites viewers to explore further, revealing new details with each look while leaving just enough to the imagination."
The jury chose a photo by Camille de Ripainsel showing skaters at Venice Beach in California as the runner-up. They selected eight more images to complete this year's top 10. We will exhibit all these photos at this year's Study Abroad Fair on Saturday, 2 November.
Lastly, we thank everyone who participated for their hard work and dedication. We hope your photos inspire future students and celebrate the enriching experiences of studying abroad.
