Public transport strikes on 10 and 11 September

Public transport employees in Amsterdam, Rotterdam and the Hague will take strike action on Tuesday, 10 September from 04:00 to 08:00. Other public transport, including trains and regional buses, will be affected by
strikes on Wednesday, 11 September from 04:00 to 08:00.

On both days, traffic is expected to be disrupted for longer than the strike times. Please take this into account if you use public transport to get to the university.
All UvA buildings will be open as usual. Lectures, tutorials, exams, PhD defence ceremonies and other educational activities will go ahead as planned. We trust that students and lecturers will do their utmost to come to the UvA despite the strikes, while accepting any absences with understanding. Please keep an eye out for announcements from your study programme.
