Initiatives to protest against proposed cuts

The government has announced the biggest cuts to higher education since the 1980s. Demonstrations to protest against the cuts are being organised by WOinActie, LSVb and UNL, among others. The Executive Board supports these initiatives: it is important that we make ourselves heard, in person and online.

• For students, there will be no attendance requirement on that day, unless they are involved in patient care. Catching up on missed material is the student's own responsibility.
• Employees who wish to join the action should discuss this with their supervisor.
• Lecturers who want to join the action must ensure that all course material is still covered before the end of the course. Make sure your students are in agreement with his.
• Scheduled exams will go ahead.
• Practicals at the Faculty of Science and the Faculty of Medicine will go ahead as planned and in principle can't be caught up, unless your programme decides otherwise. Keep an eye on Canvas for information.
