NSE 2023: UvA students give the University a score of 3.86 out of 5

The results of the National Student Survey are in! Over 26% of all UvA students gave their opinion on their study programme and the University between January and March 2023. The University got a score of 3.86 out of 5 for general satisfaction with their programme, a slight increase compared to last year (3.82). The UvA's scores are slightly lower than the average for general universities (3.92).

Amsterdam University College had he highest score for general satisfaction within the UvA this year, getting a 3.94 on a 5-point scale. For the different faculties, the scores for general satisfaction are as follows:

Results help improve the UvA

The UvA uses the National Student Survey Results to improve the University. Previous results have, for example, resulted in a job board for UvA students and alumniExternal link and in course evaluation results that are also available for students. The Ministry of Education, Culture and Science also uses the results to provide future students with objective information on degree programmes and universities.

About the National Student Survey
