Meet the Faculty Student Council 2023-2024

Being in the Faculty Student Council (FSR) comes with some rules, duties, rights and procedures. This year the council has two committees, the Facilities and Public Relations Committee (FPC) and the Education and Regulations Committee (ORC) which deal with various topics.

What is your study programme?

They are also involved in the annual discussion and approval of the Education and Examination Regulations (OER), both faculty wise and program specific. In addition to this the council is aiming at improving social safety, mental health and diversity and at organizing fun events throughout the year.

Hi, I'm Saar and in the FSR I fulfill the role of delegate to the CSR, meaning that I'm also in the central student council. I want to make sure that students are feeling heard and that we get a bigger say in our education and what the campus looks like.

Hi, my name is Eloïse and I am your co-vice-chair in the Student council of FNWI. I am currently studying for a master’s degree in Chemistry in the Molecular Science track. I am part of the Faculty & Public Relations Committee. I work on a number of projects and files this year including but not limited to diversity, mental health and student psychologists, catering and 3rd party collaborations.

Hi all! My name is Melanie and this year I am the vicechair of the council along with Eloise. I am a first-year master's student in Earth Sciences and am on the council for the second time. I hope to contribute to the development of education this year and furthermore, I want to help my fellow council members achieve their goals.

Hey, my name is Joanna and I am a second-year Psychobiology student. As commissioner of the Facilities & Public Relations Committee I would love to receive more input from students at this faculty so that we can make the best out of the study experience at Science Park.

I am in the third year of the bachelor Artificial Intelligence. This year, I am once again a member of the facilities and public relations committee and I would like to raise awareness of the council and work on social safety.

My name is Lola Fioole and I'm in the FSR for the Activist Party. Within the FSR, I am the committee head of the Programs and Regulations Committee. I'm doing the bachelor Biology here at Science Park and love topics that touch both betá-science and politics. Hi, my name is Kasper and I am the secretary of the Student Council here at the FNWI. I am also a Bachelor Chemistry student. Besides being the secretary, I am also in the Education and Regulations committee. Some of the files that I will be working on this year are mandatory attendance at tutorials and the cooperation between the UvA and the VU.

Hi! I am Maas, and I am the chair of this year's faculty student council. I finished my bachelors degree in AI last year, and I am now following electives. I am part of the Programmes and regulations committee. I will be busy on files such as teacher professionalization, new programmes and feedback on course evaluations.
