You can sign up for an individual Career Coach session every other Tuesday between 10.00 and 12.30 in C2.155.
The Student Careers Centre (SCC) offers professional guidance to prospective students, current students and recent graduates at key moments in their (academic) career.
Every day the SCC conduct individual coaching sessions with students, provide trainings and hold information sessions. Check their offer in the category ‘career orientation’ at the UvA student training portal.
In addition, the SCC organizes major career events such as the UvA Career Day (9 November 2022). They have also developed the UvA Job Board, a job and internship portal for UvA students and alumni. On their website you can also find several career tests, which can help orientating towards a career.
“My name is Ronald Flohil and I am a Work and Organizational Psychologist and coach. During my master I researched solution-focused interventions in coaching. In my view there is always a solution to career issues, but you have to commit to it. That’s exactly what we’re going to do in the training sessions.”
“With a Master in Social Psychology & Communication Science, in combination with broad experience in recruitment and coaching, I would like to help you to explore your potential. By increasing your self-knowledge and job market knowledge you will enlarge your self-confidence to find a suitable job! Within a safe and open environment you will be invited to become more visible to yourself and others.”
