Teaching and Examination Regulations (OER)

Teaching and Examination Regulations (OER)

All higher education programmes in the Netherlands must have a set of Teaching and Examination Regulations. In Dutch this is referred to as the 'Onderwijs- en Examenregeling', or OER.

Nederlandstalige informatie

Teaching and Examination Regulations (OER) are published annually and lay down all the rules and guidelines regarding:

  • admission;
  • content and structure of the degree programmes;
  • teaching;
  • assessment and examination;
  • study supervision and study progress;
  • transitional provisions.

Teaching and Examination Regulations of UvA Economics and Business

The Teaching and Examination Regulations are published in two editions: one for the Bachelor of Science programmes and one for the Master of Science programmes. The pre-Master's programmes are a part of the non-regular Executive Programme's edition of the Teaching and Examination Regulations.

The Teaching and Examination Regulations are published in Dutch as well as in English. In the Teaching and Examination Regulations for the Master of Science programmes the programme specific parts are published in English; the general regulations are published in Dutch. There is also a full English version.

The translations in English are provided for information purposes only. In the event of a difference of interpretation, the original Dutch versions of the Teaching and Examination Regulations are binding.
